Talking About Common Anxiety Symptoms

Advisory notices for medical and health aspects such as  heart attacks or strokes appear to be coming to light all over worldwide radio of late.  Television and radio commercials notify us what to do if we feel dizziness, passing out, numbness, etc.  However, very seldom will we witness a commercial describing common anxiety symptoms, which is particularly useless considering so many us go through them and are very often confused by them.

Feeling anxiety symptoms is very common in our modern society, where we endure anxious events on a consistent basis.  Whether it’s the despair that we might be lost in an unknown city or we’re going to be late for a doctor’s appointment or if the cell phone rings out of the blue, we all experience angst at some point in our lives.  Many us however may face anxiety symptoms for what seems to be no cause at all, and could misconstrue the symptoms with the symptoms of experiencing a cardiac arrest or some other medical condition.  People who suffer from anxiety attacks sometimes confuse these symptoms.

Anxiety symptoms are obviously unique for everyone, and usually it’s apparent that you’re just experiencing anxiety – just before speaking in public, when you’re about to marry, when you open your front door and see a couple of thugs standing there; these situations could easily make any of us anxious and panic ridden!  But for most of us, anxiety symptoms might also include shortness of breath, heart spasms, nausea, chest pains, irregular breathing, tingling or numbness in the fingers, face, or toes.  Stomach aches, and headaches are not uncommon either.  You can see how these conditions could actually be misdiagnosed as a heart attack or asthma or any type of other conditions.

If you get these anxiety symptoms on a frequent basis, and particularly if they tend to occur for no reason, you should probably speak to your doctor.  At the outset, you might want to eliminate the chances of it being a cardiac arrest or something that dangerous.  Then, he or she can prescribe pills or therapies that can help you live with the anxiety symptoms while at the same time working with you to uncover why you’re stressed and anxious to begin with.  You could have some chemical abnormalities in the brain or may need to incorporate a number of new positive techniques on how to mentally process stressful situations so as to be able to reduce the onset of an anxiety attack before it gets too serious.
